The Almanarah Ministry is Launched

The Rev. Amin Mansour arrived in Hamilton at the end of August 2011 to begin his work with the fledgling Almanarah Ministry. This Arabic language ministry is a new project within the Presbytery of Hamilton - in fact, the first new mission work begun within the Presbytery in 25 years. Almanarah has its physical base and meeting facilities in the Church of St. John and St. Andrew, 19 Tisdale North, Hamilton. For a further introduction to Amin click on Amin Mansour.

Since his arrival in September the Rev. Mansour has been building contacts in the Hamilton community and eagerly working and planning for the day when regular worship services might begin. By the grace of the Lord, the first Arabic language Sunday service was held on December 11, 2011 in the chapel on the third floor of St. John & St. Andrew church in Hamilton. This ministry is now launched. Up until Sunday, March 4th., 2012, the regular weekly services begin at 11:30 AM. However, beginning on Sunday, March 11th., 2012, the regular weekly Sunday worship time will move to 5:30 pm. The ministry welcomes every Arabic speaker in our community to come and attend a service and share in the fellowship time afterwards.
