Wanted

We would like to include news and activities from your church too. But, you need to provide us with the material. Items received by Tues. morning will usually get posted by Friday. E-mail messages can often simply be cut and pasted - saving us tons of time and effort.

Used, But Useful

PresbyKirk has heard that Presbyterians like a bargain. We also know from practical experience that every congregation has a variety of stuff hanging around that is just gathering dust. Accepting the truth of the old adage that one person's trash is another's treasure, we are offering our services to help make some connections. Items posted here are understood to be free unless indicated otherwise. Each item includes contact information. All we ask is that you let us know when the item is claimed so that we can remove the listing. Send your listings to us at: hampresb@presbykirk.com

Used Choir Gowns

The Choir in Knox Church, Port Dover, recently purchased new choir gowns and are hoping to find a new home for about two dozen recently retired blue choir gowns. For additional information please contact the Rev. Kathy Morden at knoxchal@bellnet.ca.

Photocopier

St. Columba Church, Hamilton, has an Aficio 2015 photocopier – desk top model - which we will be pleased to let go to a new home. It has been recently overhauled with many new replacement parts. It works well but double sided copying has to be done manually. Contact St. Columba Church at 905-549-8053 for further information.

Chancel Cross

The cross that was in the chancel of the former Aldershot Presbyterian Congregation is available. It is about 11' x 6'. It is currently just a few blocks away from Aldershot and would need to be picked up from there. If interested please contact terriesmartin@cogeco.ca for further details.

Wood Cabinets

Trinity Church, Hamilton, reports that they are in the process of removing some light wood cabinetry. The unit has been disassembled and is now in pieces ready for transport elsewhere. When fully assembled, the unit measures 124" wide by approximately 72" high. The lower cabinets with sliding doors are 24" deep and the upper bookcases are approx. 12" deep. All the pieces are in great shape. If desired, some of the pieces could be put together to make a smaller configuration. We are prepared to give them (free) to any of our sister churches that can use them. The only proviso is that they take away all the pieces - and do so asap - we need the room! Contact Dr. Philip Wilson for additional information. (Posted to PresbyKirk on June 6th.)

Books

Bob Dawson of Brant Hills, Burlington, intends to reduce his library by about 1,500 volumes and these books are available free, first come, first served. The collection includes theology, Bible study, church planning, and family counselling themes. Contact Bob at 905-335-2640. (Posted on June 21/08)
